Kim Komando: Badass name and ever better video
First off, her name is freaking Komando. That is a total kick ass name. Due to Reddit and few Podcasts, she has become some kind of meme. Komando teaches people how to use computers and the Internet. Generally, you buy her teaching videos. There was even a mention of her in Time.com.
I love the fact she praises you for not blowing up your computer (Komputer). Also, do you remember when mouses didn't have that center ball? I think I still have one of those (non-USB) mouses.
And, yes Komando is her real name. Her name sounds like a Mortal Kombat character (a hidden one).
The kicker of this story is Miss Komando is still doing these videos, has a website, and a radio show. You go, Kim Komando! Get your freak on, Komando.
She showed up on the annoying infomercial series Amazing Discoveries selling her videos. The shitty infomercial was hosted by funky sweater guy the late Mike Levey
