I remember owning one of these.  I believe my parents got this keyboard for my brother and I.  I would play around with it all the time.  I fondly remember playing the demo song that was preset on the board. 

I also remember the song and the keyboard showing up in a Strong Bad Email.  Eh, Steve.

I love that this early keyboard has become a pop culture item of sorts.

Yes, I nearly choked on my energy drink after watching this.  That moment when Yoko adds her two cents to the song is freaking funny.  Chuck Berry should have said something to John.

Yes, she completely ruined that song with that animal call.  What the heck was that noise?  And, where does that fit into this type of song?  I guess Yoko couldn’t let Chuck and John take all the spotlight.  Holy crap she is the anti-music.

I always love when fiction predicts things before they happen. 

Glenn Beck has decided to make his own theme park/city.  It will be called Independence, USA.  This park/city will be supported by the ideas of Ayn Rand.  Glenn Beck might actually have completely lost his mind or make it a complete success.  However, it seems like this notion of an Rand city seems a bit familiar. 

From Glenn Beck’s site, ((While Independence is very much a dream at this point, the proposed city-theme park hybrid would bring several of Glenn’s seemingly disconnected projects into one place. Media, live events, small business stores, educational projects, charity, entertainment, news, information, and technology R&D – all of these things would have a home in Independence. With the rest of the country and the world going away from the values of freedom, responsibility and truth, Independence would be a place built on the very foundation of those principles. A retreat from the world where entrepreneurs, artists, and creators could come to put their ideas to work.))

Then it dawned on me.  This is Rapture from the Bioshock games!  Basically, Glenn Beck will be the Andrew Ryan of the city.  Check out the video below.

It will really make sense when you find out Beck wants to make a Media Center which will make its own TV shows and movies, just like Andrew Ryan in Bioshock.  When you add words like deprograming, you get that Ryan vibe. 

Deep down, I want to see Glenn Beck’s city become a reality.  The very name of his city conflicts with itself. Independence USA, you have “independence” with the world “united”.  It would be fun to see how far this thing would go. 

In the game Bioshock, Andrew Ryan gets so disenfranchised with the world and decides to make his own city outside the sphere of governments, but his ideas end up turning against as people take advantage of his open market and ideas.  He turns on his own beliefs to save his city.  And, Bioshock is based on the work Rand too.  Actually, Bioshock deconstructs it. 

And, we know how Rapture turned out.

Out of this group, Todd Bridges is the only one still alive.  Kind of sad.

Bain was the fatherly figure from my favorite show from the 80s (Diff'rent Strokes). The show went on for 8 seasons with a very popular spinoff Facts of Life. I remember watching the re-runs on tv after school each day. Then, we'd talk about the episode the next day at school.  You can't talk about 80s sitcoms without mentioning DS.  

89 years is a good run. What should be surprising is he's outlived most of his younger Diff'rent Strokes co-stars. I guess the guy lived a healthy life. Out of all the cast, he was the one that stayed out of trouble. Plato, Coleman and Bridges all had criminal records. I always liked Phillip Drummond, despite the fact he was a bit stodgy.

Dana Plato: Killed herself after falling to rock bottom. Oh, and she robbed a store.

Gary Coleman: Died recently, and no the Gooch didn't kill him.

Dixie Carter: Sadly, died of cancer.

Interestingly enough, Charlotte Rae(Miss Garrett) is still kicking around.

Anyway, RIP, Phillip Drummond

WORST ACTOR

• Nicolas Cage, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance/Seeking Justice: How did it get burned? Man, Nic Cage, you really need to get another agent or stop taking movies with supernatural elements. I know you're a fan of these type of movies, but stop. Has Cage had good movie in the last five years? At this point, they need to stop making Punishier movies and Ghost Rider movies.

• Eddie Murphy, A Thousand Words: Yes, I saw this one and they should have kept it on the shelf. Eddie, like always, looks completely bored in every scene. I will give him credit for the scene with his mother at the end of the movie, that was a heart-felt moment. However, the rest of the movie is just plain horrible. Murphy is extremely bad.

• Robert Pattinson, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2: Why does Pattinson always have this strange expression on his face like he has just swallowed a bug? Method acting?

• Tyler Perry, Alex Cross/Good Deeds: Everyone attacked the performance from Perry in the Cross reboot. They were banking on the reboot being a new franchise. Nope, it didn't happen>

• Adam Sandler, That's My Boy: Come on, he has to win this one. Following all the movies he done over the years,

WORST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

• Jessica Biel: Playing for Keeps/Total Recall: Biel is hot, but she's been in some real stinkers. Wasn't she in Stealth?

• Brooklyn Decker: Battleship/What to Expect When You're Expecting

• Ashley Greene: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

• Jennifer Lopez: What to Expect When You're Expecting: Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got. She's just Jenny from the block.

• Rihanna: Battleship: Now, I heard that she was really terrible in the movie. I can't bring myself around to renting this movie.

WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR

• David Hasselhoff, Piranha 3D: Hopefully, the Hoff train has ended its run. When he got wind of the fact people were making fun of him, he started getting in on the joke and showing up in everything as himself. How many appearances has he done as The Hoff? It is really getting old now. If he wins, he'll probably show up to receive his award.

• Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

• Liam Neeson, Battleship/Wrath of the Titans: He's been in a lot of movies this years.

• Nick Swardson, That's My Boy: Yeah, I am tired of this guy too.

• Vanilla Ice, That's My Boy: Well, at least he isn't on some dumb reality show.

Holy Crap, this looks bad.  Every cliché they own in Hollywood is crammed into the damn trailer.   It looks like every “Urban Dance” movie from early 2000’s.  And, I find that funny.

Not only do we get the crazy man Chris Brown in this bag of shit, they threw my favorite character from Lost Sawyer.  Yes, Sawyer is pulling a long con job and pretending to be an urban coach.  Please tell me Sawyer kicks the shit out of Chris Brown. 

Basically, this is a real sport or challenge that happens every year. I know because I lookedit up.

- “Breaking is like breathing to me” Thank you Chris Brown.  Cliché much? 

- “I’m not into boys.  I’m into men.”  They should have just brought in Jessica Alba or Julia Stiles to reprise their roles as the spunky white hip-hop girl. 

- Okay, Chris Brown can dance, but can he really act?  Yeah, he’s been in Takers and Think Like a Man, but really? 

-Director Benson Lee: This director actually made a real documentary about B-Boy dancers earlier in his career.

We know there are only two ways this can end. 

1 The American team loses, but discovers that are better working together and vow to win next year.  The opposing team gives them props and waits for them next year.  Winning wasn’t important, but them coming together as a team makes them better people.

2 The American Team wins and the opposing team promises to challenge them next year.   There is a group freeze-frame and end credits.  

 John:   That's impossible! Even for a computer.

Chris Brown: It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.
