Romney was shocked that he lost...

Posted on 04:10 by Unknown

Don't cry, now.  That comes later.
Romney was shocked that he lost...
I'm actually shocked that he was shocked. Romney should have seen the numbers in the polling. He was starting to slip away after the third debate. But, I guess he had “faith” in his victory. I know that his family was really upset.
From CBS News, ((Romney was stoic as he talked to the president, an aide said, but his wife Ann cried. Running mate Paul Ryan seemed genuinely shocked, the adviser said. Ryan's wife Janna also was shaken and cried softly.))
Did he read the numbers? I also heard that he didn't even have a concession speech. There is always a chance for anyone to lose and you should be prepared. Maybe I am cynical, and I think of the worst case every time. I never get my hopes up. This advice might be helpful next time, Romney.  If there is a next time...
I just can't believe that Romney and Ryan didn't know that there was a huge chance of them losing.

Britney Spears wants to write a novel: Not a novel idea

Britney Spears wants to write a novel: Not a novel idea
When I read this, I laughed. This is Snooki all over again or so I thought. Another person that doesn't have to the right (write?) to pen a book. Spears has proved over the years that she isn't the sharpest pencil in the desk. However, she now feels the need to write a damn book (Again).
What is she going to write about? Marrying a lowlife d-bag, losing her kids to said lowlife, shaving her head and attack people? Lip-syncing in most of her concerts? It appears she is a fiction writer.
The kicker is this isn't her first book. She (allegedly) wrote two other books with her mother in 2000 and 2001. And, there was an ABC Family movie based on “A Mother's Gift”, which is her second book. Then again this is the same person that has her own videogame.

Maybe she can manage to get K-Fed to help her with the next book.

Best Worst PC ad

Best Worst PC ad
Either this guy is the worst pitch man or the best. Best things about this PC ad...
-The guy is wearing a 70's mustache (Biker version): Yes, even you can sport a 70's stashe in the early 90s.
-He has a slick-back mullet: I thought only Snake from MGS could still sport one of these.
-Did he just chuck a bunch of knives off screen? Isn't that a bit...dangerous?
-But wait there's more: This is probably the most overused phrase ever.
I wouldn't want to buy anything from this guy. He's like a proto-Billy Mays. And, you sir are no Billy Mays.

Random Stuff

Random Stuff
~Honest Trailers: The Amazing Spider-Man: Check out this funny trailer. I still haven't bothered to watch this movie yet. I already know the origin of Spider-Man. Do we really need another retelling of it only mere years from the last movie? I also know that they were planning on making Spider-Man 4, but something soured between the director and the studio rather quickly. I also know that the studio interfered with this recent movie.
~Nine Star Wars movies: I've gotten into a long argument with a friend about how much Lucas had planned for his supposedly nine movie series. I still contend that that there only firm story concepts for the first six movies. Sure Lucas kept saying he wanted to make nine movies, but his vision has changed over the years due to script changes and story arc changes. Yoda really wasn't part of the overall preplanned story. There is still that interview with that producer that spilled the beans on Lucas that I always use in my argument.
Santa? Is it just me or is Mr. Lucas really morphing into Santa?
~Speaking of Star Wars: People are saying The Clone Wars cartoon show will probably leave Cartoon Network. It will probably go to Disney XD. I got so used to it on CN. It makes sense to switch it to their own network. Warner Brothers moved all their animated programs from FOX over to their new WB Network.
~Sarah Palin endorses Romney...one day before the election: Even if Romney wins, does it matter what Palin thinks in the grand scheme of things? She is so out of the picture, and why endorse Romney so late in the game?
~Wreck it Ralph:  I think I am going to see this movie tomorrow after voting.  The movie has a 84% on RT and audience rating of 93%.  I want to make sure I get an early showing in order to avoid children.   I don't want to be that single guy sitting in a theater with a bunch of little turds.  It just seems a little strange to me.

Missing Empire Strikes Back “Making of”

Posted on 17:12 by Unknown

Missing Empire Strikes Back “Making of”
Here's that missing “making of” video that has finally surfaced after all these years. I heard that no one really remembered making this film, and it got lost. Reports are this documentary was scrapped, but nobody really knows why.
From Blastr.com, ((Filmmaker Michel Parbot shot a ton of footage and interviews for a documentary that never happened, though a bit of the work eventually surfaced in the SPFX: The Empire Strikes Back doc. But most of it was left forgotten on the shelf.))
Did Lucas hate what he saw and threw it out?
Rumor has it there is more of this footage out there. Now, if someone can unearth the Star Trek TMP footage from scrapped documentary, that would be grand.
-What is up with the One-Eyed Yoda? Was that the original plan to have him with one eye?
-Some of the Yoda models seem a bit “off”.

Metal Gear Solid 4 :Shadow Moses

Posted on 20:53 by Unknown

Metal Gear Solid 4 :Shadow Moses
Talk about feeling nostalgia. I watched the entire “Let's Play” to MGS4 finally and I loved this stage with game taking us right back to the first MGS game. We get to hear the voices of the past and even get to see locations from that earlier game. I also loved the use of the “Best is yet to come” song. Given the location hasn't been visited in years, it is nice touch to see things start to decay and fall apart.
They reproduced the voices for the “flashback” scenes though. Everyone has less accents (IE The Twin Snakes Remake).
I really loved playing MGS and played it for hours. The game really had a emotional impact on me the same way that FF7 did. I'm glad that they put this bit of flashback and callback to MGS1.
